Zebra Camp is a small mobile tented camp moving inside Serengeti [never while guests are in] along the ancestral migratory routes of the wildebeest migration. In July/August/September/October the camp will be located in northern Serengeti.

This sector of the park hosts throughout the year some solid resident wildlife but at this time, with herds roaming all around and crossing the river from one side to another while straddling the border between Kenya and Tanzania, it really gets a boost of vitality and become the best place to be as far as migration viewing is concerned.

Zebra offers an upper-mid level of service and consists of 6 tents. Each tent has 2 twin beds or a double bed [triples can also be arranged on request], en suite bathroom with running water in basin, chemical toilet and shower [hot water for the shower is supplied by the camp staff at the agreed time]. Electricity is provided by generator and branched to the various tents each of which has got its own electrical system of inverters and storage batteries for night illumination. Mobile phones, cameras and video devices can be recharged directly in tent. The roof of the tent in the bathroom area has been designed in a way that the canvas can be removed remaining just with an insect proof net ceiling. Some of the tents reiterate the same concept over the bed as well ... to fall asleep while gazing at the starlit African night sky, if you wish to have a star gazer tent please let us know when booking.

The camp is complemented by a mess tent with a small library and by the unfailing campfire.

Zebra camp also accepts children under 6 years although we believe that lodges are more suitable for children so young.
Remember that no camp is fenced so children should be accompanied by an adult at all time.

In 2012 the camp was located on the right side of the river, in the Lamai wedge, a fantastic location but troublesome as well in the event of heavy rains causing problems to cross the river. In such a case a re-routing become necessary and the time to reach the camp changes from 1 to 3+ hours. We do not know yet on which side of the river the camp will be set up in 2013.
