Traveling along the Rift Valley:
Tarangire Safari Lodge

The position of this permanent tented camp overlooking the Tarangire River and the valley below is magnificent: the river attracts many animals especially during dry season and it happens quite often that animals, especially elephants, wander peacefully around the camp and the tents. Bar and restaurant are open to the sides to ensure the best view at any time of day.

Tarangire Safari Lodge is a mid specification lodge consisting of a few stone cottages and 40 safari tents, scattered at both sides of the main building hosting the restaurant and the lounge. Tents are pretty simple and basic but still comfortable, with attached en-suite bathroom with hot water shower. Electricity is provided by solar panels, mobiles and video-cameras need to be charged at the the bar. The lodge is completed by a large terrace and a swimming pool

Like all camps located within the parks, Tarangire Safari Lodge is not fenced. Make sure you're accompanied by a camp's guard when moving around. Children should always stay with you.

Despite the high number of tents we continue to recommend this camp as a good mid-range solution and defintely value for money.
