Serengeti Soroi is located in the Serengeti central area but due to the lack of roads leading to it from Seronera it is ultimately best positioned to explore the Serengeti western corridor. It takes about two hours [roughly 70 km] to get to the lodge from Seronera and about 1 hour and half to reach Kirawira where, in June, wildebeest usually cross the Grumeti river. The Musabi plains, where the lodge is located, become a prime location in April and May when the migration should be passing through, formed into very large and impressive columns, moving from central Serengeti toward Kirawira in the western corridor. In dry season, the lodge could also be taken into consideration as an alternative to the larger lodges in central Serengeti by those travellers looking for conventional comforts provided that they are ready to compromise with the distance from the main game viewing area of Seronera.

The lodge provides a relatively high level of service. It is quite heavily built but, at the same time, it is also well articulated which minimize the perception of its size. It consists of 25 well appointed chalets raised on stilts. 20 of them are standard chalets and the remainder are suite chalets. Each standard chalet features a double bed or two twin bed [there are 2 triples with a double plus a single bed], en suite bathroom with bathtub, flush loo and outdoor shower [hot and cold water running water throughout the day], private balcony. Electricity is provided all day long through a combined system of generator, solar panels, batteries and invertors. Hairdryers can be used from 6 to 8 and from 18:30 to 20.00 when the generator is running. Mobile phones, cameras and video devices can be recharged any time directly in your chalet. Suite chalets also feature a separate lounge with satellite television and in-room fridge. There is only one triple suite chalet with a double and a single bed.

Serengeti Soroi comprises as well restaurant, lounge, a small library, swimming-pool and a fireplace deck.

WiFi is available in all suites, at the reception and dining area. SPA treatments are also offered and carried out in the privacy of your chalet.
