Serengeti Osupoku is a small mobile tented camp located in central Serengeti. While I am writing the camp is located in Rongai about 30 minutes from Seronera and not far from Moru Kopjes but like any other mobile or semipermanent tented camp the exact location can vary every 6 months since the Park Authority does not allow prolonged settlement in the same area.

Osupoku is a rather basic camp yet able to provide all essential services to travellers. Each tent has 2 twin beds that can be combined to become a double bed [triples can be arranged on request but note that you will not have much room left since tents are not very large], en suite bathroom with running water in basin, flush loo and shower [hot water for the shower - 20 litres - is supplied by the camp staff at the agreed time]. Electricity is provided by solar panels and accumulated into batteries for night lighting. Mobile phones, cameras and video devices can be recharged directly in your own tent

The camp is complemented by the mess tent which include a small lounge and by the unfailing campfire.

Osupoku also accepts children under 6 years although we believe that lodges are more suitable for children.
Remember that no camp is fenced so children should be accompanied by an adult at all time.

If you wish to enjoy a higher specification tented camp in central Serengeti consider Ang'ata camp. If you are looking for a high standard camp we would recommend you Lemala Camp Ewanjan or Dunia.
