Serengeti Bushtops is a small size permanent tented camp, delivering a high level of service and located in the northern Serengeti, about 50 minutes from the Mara River.

This sector of the park hosts throughout the year many resident species but, from July to October with the wildebeest migration roaming all around and crossing the river from one side to another while straddling the border between Kenya and Tanzania, it really becomes the best place of Serengeti for migration viewing and even if the camp is not located very close to the river [about 50 minutes far away] it still remain a good option to gain access to this area. When booking Serengeti Bushtop we do not plan the early morning game drive to the river coming back to the camp for breakfast instead we deem it is preferable to eventually leave the camp early in the morning with packed breakfast and return back for lunch and some relaxation, which makes sense since you will most probably like to enjoy the facility itself as well ... obviously unless you wish to spend the whole day out ...

The camp consists of 12 tents including a family. Tents are raised on a wooden deck overlooking the savanna and are very well appointed with all comforts. They all have a double bed or eventually two twin beds [on request it is possibile to add a third bed for an adult sharing with two other adults; only in case of children it is possibile to add two extra beds] ; en-suite bathroom with rain-shower area, flush toilet, running water in basin and hot water bathtub in the veranda; dining table and 24 hr butler service. The family tent consists of two tents which verandas are linked by a wooden bridge. Electricity is supplied 24 hr.

Serengeti Bushtops is complemented by a central mess tent with lounge, dining area, bar and by the unfailing campfire.
Short walking safari are available nearby the camp and guests can ask to have a massage session in their own tent.

While there is no doubt that Serengeti Bushtop can deliver a high servicing standard we would only object that normally such kind of facilities have a lower number of rooms or alternatively are split into two smaller camps to ensure the highest intimacy and personal service also in the common areas, however each tent at Serengeti Bushtop has a dining table in the verandah for those guests who prefere to have meals privately ...

In July/August/September/October Serengeti Bushtops has to be booked well in advance in order to get room. In all other months availability should not be a problem. All mobile camps will have moved out and Serengeti Bushtops along with Sayari and Nomad Lamai Camp, Lemala Kuria remains one the few facilities in the whole Serengeti Mara.
