Sayari is a small permanent tented camp, delivering a particularly high level of service, located in northern Serengeti, about 20 minutes from the Mara River. This sector of the park hosts throughout the year many resident species but from July to October, with the wildebeest migration roaming all around and crossing the river from one side to another while straddling the border between Kenya and Tanzania, it really gets a boost of vitality.

Sayari consists of 15 tents split between two small camps featuring respectively 9 and 6 tents each. 12 rooms in all. These are split between two entirely separate lodges, the Main Lodge of 8 rooms and our smaller Private Lodge of 4 rooms.
Each camp has its own mess and dining area to ensure intimacy and personal service. Tents are raised on a wooden deck overlooking the Masai Mara escarpment and are furnished with taste and style by combining natural materials. They all have a double bed or two twin beds, en-suite bathroom with rain-shower, flush toilet, double sink and stand-alone bathtub with a view. There is also a honeymoon suite with al fresco stone-bathtub.

The camp is complemented by a lounge, a swimming pool and obviously the fire place.

Sayari also arranges short walking safari [max 1 or 2 hours] nearby the camp escorted by an armed ranger and guide.
Note that walking safari never aim to get close to wildlife.

In July/August/September/October Sayari has to be booked well in advance in order to get room. In all other months availability should not be a problem. All mobile camps will have moved out and Sayari along with Nomad Lamai Camp, Serengeti Bushtop and Lemala Kuria remains one the few facilities in the whole Serengeti Mara.
