Safari 706: accommodation in mid-specification lodges and tented camps

Day 1
Visited park: Lake Manyara National Park
Dinner and overnight: Tloma mountain Lodge
Upon arrival at Arusha airport you will be met by your private guide and car and depart to Lake Manyara NP to enjoy a gentle game driving. This park is considered a bird watchers paradise with its over 380 different species. Unlikely other parks, it offers the spectacle of large flocks more than that of single sightings.

Day 2
Visited park: Serengeti central
Dinner and overnight: Serengeti Kati Kati
In central Serengeti the progression of the dry season forces gazelles and antelopes to gather along the permanent water sources and rivers of Seronera which is now beginning to host what will soon become the highest concentration of lions, leopards and cheetahs of all Africa ...

Day 3
Visited park: western corridor
Dinner and overnight: Mbalageti
Your game drive today will focus along the course of the Grumeti River and up to Kirawira where, if lucky, you might witness some crossings. The branches of the trees along the riverside are also home to white colobus monkeys and leopards while the river itself hosts huge Nile crocodiles and hippos. At last you will reach your lodge located in the Dutwa plains about one hour game driving away from Kirawira.

Day 4
Visited park: western corridor and central Serengeti
Dinner and overnight: Serengeti Kati Kati
Not all individuals that make up the migration wade the river, some of them are usually able to avoid the crossing and to linger to graze in the Ndabaka and Dutwa plains surrounding the lodge. Since the majority of cars will concentrate nearby the river banks, game driving in these plains could be a very rewarding experience. They both support a good deal of resident wildlife including lions and cheetahs, herds of buffalos, elephants, waterbuck, impala, giraffe and the highest population of topi antelopes of all Africa ... Yesterday evening you should have discussed with your guide the plan for today and he will have certainly advised you at best.

Day 5
Visited park: western-central Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Dinner and overnight: Ndutu safari Lodge
Another morning devoted to game driving in central Serengeti exploring at sunrise the river courses of Serenora, one of the most strategic area of the continent for leopard sightings and after breakfast the scenic Moru Kopjes, one of the largest and most beautiful granite formation around the Serengeti ..... the afternoon will intead be devoted to the Ndutu and Masek lakes which both support a good deal of resident wildlife including one of the most important population of cheetahs of the entire Serengeti.

Day 6
Visited park: Ngorongoro crater
Dinner and overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House
Today you will explore the famous caldera, one of the most fascinating places of Africa. Thanks to the variety of habitats [long and short grasses savannahs, acacia forest, woodland, clearings, swamps, freshwater and soda lakes] it hosts all year round about 30.000 animals ...
