Elephants in central Serengeti plains

Cheetahs in Ndutu

Wildebeest in the crater of Ngorongoro

Lake Masek

Day 1
Visited park: Lake Manyara National Park
Dinner and overnight: Tloma mountain Lodge
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport you will be met by your private guide and car and depart to Lake Manyara NP to enjoy a gentle game driving.

Day 2
Visited park: Serengeti south-eastern and central
Dinner and overnight: Seronera Wildlife Lodge
When moving northwards the wildebeest migration forms very large and impressive columns. Today you will visit some remote and wild areas in south-eastern Serengeti where transiting herds along with the presence of many gazelles and antelopes should have triggered a high concentration of cheetahs as well as a number of lions. You will then reach at sunset the Seronera valley, actually one of the best spot in whole continent to sight leopards ...

Day 3
Visited park: Serengeti central and western-central
Dinner and overnight: Seronera Wildlife Lodge
A full day out in the bush exploring the central Serengeti. Beyond wildebeest and zebra migratory herds you should be able to sight buffaloes and elephants herds along with other herbivores such as giraffes, impala, gazelles, antelopes ... among predators you should sight lions, cheetah, jackals and hyenas but also less common species such us caracal and serval ... the very lucky ones could also encounter rhinos ... the landscape should be green strewn with flowers ... this is an excellent time for time for photography since clouds provide stunning depth and contrast while bright greens provide great pop of colors.

Day 4
Visited park: Serengeti central and south-western
Dinner and overnight: Ndutu safari Lodge
Departing from Seronera and driving counterclockwise you will explore the western-central and south-western area of the park reaching Ndutu late in the afternoon.
When moving off from Ndutu, the migration forms very long and impressive columns moving northwards. While some herds pass bysouth-eastern Serengeti [the Gol Kopjes area that you have visited the 2nd day] others move along the western-central Serengeti [the Moru Kopjes area] and the westernmost Serengeti [Simiyu e Kusini] keeping left of the Mbalageti River. These are the two areas that you will explore today. Beyond wildebeest migratory herds you might expect to encounter also herds of buffaloes, lions, cheetah, leopards, giraffes and antelopes and if lucky ... rhinos !

Day 5
Visited park: Ndutu Serengeti and Ndutu Ngorongoro
Dinner and overnight: Ndutu Safari Lodge
Albeit the bulk of the migration should have nearly abandoned Ndutu, a part of it usually lingers in the area to graze which causes part of predators that reached Ndutu in the previous months triggered by the abundance of food to remain nearby. Migration apart, this area, characterized by two alkaline lakes supports year round good resident game. Along with lions and one of the most relevant population of cheetahs of the entire Serengeti eco-system it might give you the opportunity to sight some of the less common cats species such as caracals or serval cats or African wildcats. Other rare species include hunting dogs, aardwolf and striped hyenas ... again lots of flowers, birds and butterflies ... that is an optimum time for macro photography, especially the smaller creatures.

Day 6
Visited park: Ngorongoro crater
Dinner and overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House
Today you will explore the famous caldera ...

Day 7
Breakfast and return back to Arusha or Kilimajaro airport. Time permitting visit Mto wa Mbu market or enjoy a visit to a coffee plantation with hot lunch [the visit to the coffee plantation has to be requested at the time of booking].
