Day 3

Rainfall patterns can vary every year but the second half of May usually marks out the beginning of the dry season and that is the time to normally witness endless columns of migratory wildebeest moving westward ... before of entering Serengeti you will divert to Lake Ndutu and Masek straddling the Serengeti-Ngorongoro borders. Off-tracks game driving are still allowed here and the area support year-round a good deal of resident wildlife ...

Day 4

Early morning game drive along the Seronera river courses, one of the most strategic area of the continent for leopard sightings ... the remainder of your day will be spent visiting some remote and wild areas hosting year round herbivores and predators ... you can have a bush lunch or you can return to the camp and relax for a while ... remember that you are not sharing the vehicle with any other people and you can entirely dictate the pace of your day ...

Day 5

Today you will game drive to Kirawira where, normally starting from mid of May, herds start to mass up along the river banks and where, if lucky, you might witness to some early crossings ... along the way you will divert to the Musabi plains ... beyond wildebeest migratory herds these plains should host a good deal of resident wildlife including the largest population of topi antelope left in Africa ...

Day 6
Visited park: Serengeti western corridor
Dinner and overnight: Kirawira tented Camp
Your guide will advice you on the areas to best explore.
Should wildebeest herds have already started to mass up along the river or should crossings already occur you might spend the whole morning game driving along the river banks conversely should herds have not reached Kirawira yet then, at least a part of them, should be grazing in the plains comprised between the Grumeti and the Mbalageti rivers which means that the number of the predators around should also be higher than average ... Alternatively you might decide to go fishing on lake Victoria shores ... or enjoy some birding along the river banks ...

Day 7
After breakfast take your last game drive in Serengeti along the way to the Grumeti airstrip. A morning flight will scoop you from here to Arusha or to Kilimanjaro airport.

At Lake Manyara: dense groundwater forest, baboons and blue monkeys, buffaloes, elephants and other herbivores, large flocks of birds including some Eurasian migrants. If lucky tree-climbing lions.

In central Serengeti: hippos and crocs in the pools, scattered groups of wildebeest and zebra, giraffes, gazelles, herds of buffaloes, antelopes and predators hence leopards, lions and cheetahs, jackals and spotted hyenas, if lucky ... rhinos !

In western Serengeti: endelss columns of migratory wildebeest moving westwards from central Serengeti, if lucky early crossings of the Grumeti River. Leopards, black and white colobus monkeys, Nile crocodiles and hippos along the Grumeti river, hervivores and their predators in the surrounding plains. Optional excursion to Lake Victoria.

In Ndutu: lots of birds including flamingos, off-tracks game driving, herbivors and predators including one of the most relevant population of cheetahs of Serengeti. If lucky you might also spot african wild dogs, caracals, serval and the most elusive striped hyena.

Landscape in transition from brillant green hues to yellow, flowers and butterflies, heavy downpours lasting 30 - 60 minutes are likely to occur above all in the first half of the month normally in the early morning or evening. This is an excellent time for time for photography since clouds provide stunning depth and contrast while bright greens provide great pop of colors.

In the Ngorongoro crater: elephants, buffalos, rhinos, lions and cheetahs ... Leopards if lucky.
