Serengeti Safari Camp is a small mobile tented camp moving inside Serengeti [never while guests are in] along the ancestral migratory routes of the great migration. In May and in November the camp is planned to be in central-west Serengeti. Both these months are not easy ones as far as migration movements forecast are concerned. Normally between the end of April and beginning of May herds move from central Serengeti toward the western corridor. Having just two or three nights to spend in Serengeti it makes sense to stay in the central area of Serengeti and eventually raid into the western corridor for a daily game drive but if you have at least 4 nights available then we would suggest to split your stay between the two sectors of the park. In November instead wildebeest should be passing through Serengeti northeast. The decision of Nomad to place the camp in central Serengeti is probably due to the fact they they also run a permanent camp [Nomad Lamai] in the very northern area of Serengeti as well as a mobile camp [Ndura Loliondo] in northern Loliondo just outside of the northeastern boundary of Serengeti.

Serengeti Safari Camp consists of 8 safari tents. Each tent has a dressing area separating the beds from the bathroom area, en suite bathroom with chemical flush loo and shower [hot water for the shower is supplied morning and evening at the time agreed with the camp staff]. There is a washstands but no running water in sink and a bucketful of water is supplied by the camp staff usually twice a day [hot water on request]. Technology is intentionally kept to a minimum for an unforgettable African experience.

The camp is complemented by the mess tent, the lounge with a small library and by the unfailing campfire. Meals can be served privately under the starry sky.

Neither guests tents nor the mess tent and the lounge are lavish and are indeed rather simply furnished but the camp is run with competence and professionalism offering high servicing standard. The high price is partly due to the fact that game drives with exclusive vehicle are already included in the camp rates.
