Nduara Loliondo is a small size mobile tented camp moving twice a year from Northern to Southern Loliondo with the seasons. The camp, run in partnership with the Maasai, is located south, at Piaya, in the Gol Mountains Area [bordering the south-eastern sector of Serengeti and the north-eastern sector of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area] from December to the April.

Nduara Loliondo consists of 6 tents recalling both the style of the maasai houses and that of the yurtas of the nomadic people of Asia. Each tent features a double bed or two twin beds, en suite bathroom with eco-loo and shower [hot water for the shower is supplied morning and evening at the time agreed with the camp staff]. There is a washstands but no running water in sink and a bucketful of water is supplied by the camp staff usually twice a day [hot water on request]. Technology is intentionally kept to a minimum for an unforgettable African experience.

The camp is complemented by the unfailing campfire and by two extra yurtas, set in the middle of the camp, of which one is used as a lounge with a small library and the other one is used as a restaurant.

Nduara Loliondo can be combined with a longer safari including Serengeti national park as an ideal completion of the same: the focus here falls on long nature walks, night game drives and non commercial encounters with the Masai people.

The camp itself is a stylish and yet a simple one furnished with raw materials, however the low number of tents, the high servicing quality and the expertness of its guides makes it assimilable to a high specification tented camp. The high price is partly due to the fact that rates are inclusive of all camp activites and that game drives are carried out, inside the private concession, with vehicles of the camp at exclusive use and private guide.

Nduara will operate in its current guise until 30 Apr 2013 with exciting changes coming thereafter.
