Kirurumu Serengeti is a mobile tented camp located in central Serengeti from June to October and in the southern plains [Ndutu area] from mid of December to the end of March.

The camp provides a upper-middle level of service. Tents themselves are not particularly large and their design is a bit pioneering however the standard of service is consistent and reliable.

Kirurumu Serengeti consists of 10 tents. Each tent has 2 twin beds or a double bed [triples can be arranged on request but note that you will not have much room left since tents are not very large], en suite bathroom with running water in basin, chemical loo and shower [hot water for the shower [20 litres] is supplied by the camp staff at the agreed time]. Electricity is provided by solar panels and accumulated into batteries for night lighting however there are no sockets in the rooms and mobiles and video devices need to be charged at the restaurant.

The camp is complemented by a mess and lounge tents and by the unfailing campfire.

Kirurumu Serengeti also accepts children under 6 years although we believe that lodges are more suitable for children.
Remember that no camp is fenced so children should be accompanied by an adult at all time.

If you wish to enjoy a higher specification tented camp in central Serengeti we would recommend to stay at Lemala Camp Ewanjan. If you are looking for a cheaper option then Serengeti Kati Kati might be suitable for you.
